Lesson 1: How to build a Basement:Easy Difficulty. A lot of you may have trouble building basements. Others might think its far to tricky. Well its not! Here's How:

STEP 1: Get yourself a nice plot and build a foundation (any size)
STEP 2: You need to remove the inside of you foundation, to do this press "Ctrl" and highlight the area you want deleted.
STEP 3:Now you need a wall covering for you foundation with a border at the bottom, so you can see where your basement will be built.
STEP 4:Lower the terrain inside of the whole to the border inside the hole.
STEP 5:Now you can level the rest out!
STEP 6: Place a staircase down to your basement, if you are having difficulty you may need to higher/lower the terrain.

There a lovely basement for your Sims! (Or dungeon, your choice!)

Lesson 2: How to Build an Attic:Easy Difficulty

Building an Attic is almost as easy as building a basement, now you can have easy access to the top of your house!

STEP 1: Build are roof. For an Attic you need the roof with the flat top.
STEP 2: Build your walls around the inside and place your doors and windows.
STEP 3: Decorate and add a staircase. Et Voila! An Attic!

A Nice spacious Attic for your Sims, You could use it as a play-room.

Lesson 3: An Underground Garage:Easy Difficulty- Underground Garages are a creative way to save space. Although the idea of it sounds complicated; It actually isn't.

STEP 1: Create a foundation.
STEP 2: Remove inner part of foundation by pressing "Ctrl" and highlighting the area to be deleted.
STEP 3:Create a hole by using the lower terrain tool, Click 12 Times in 1 spot.
STEP 4: Level the rest of the hole out.
STEP 5: Create a room to be your garage.
STEP 6: Delete 6 tiles of the Foundation.
STEP 7: Start to connect a stair line about 7 tiles away from the garage.
STEP 8:Level out the bottom of each staircase creating the entry.
STEP 9:Now level out the rest of the entry.
STEP 10:Delete the "stair line".
STEP 11:Even out all the bumps by clicking on the once each one.
STEP 12: Create the driveway by adding foundations to the end of the slope.
STEP 13:Fence off the area you are going tile.
STEP 14:Tile the garage with "Terrific Tarmac Alphsalt" found in the "Misc" floor section.
STEP 15: Add a Garage door.
STEP 16:Section off your garage from your basement, And there is your Underground Garage!

Lesson 4: A Pool Island!!Easy Difficulty

Pool Islands are fun,creative ways of saving space,here's how you can create your own pool style!

STEP 1: Start off with area of floor tiles (This will become your island)
STEP 2: Now build a pool around it any size you like!
STEP 3: Add a ladder to your island and your pool island is complete!

A Lovely little island for your Sims which can be used as a sun deck or whatever you want!

Lesson 5: A Roof Terrace:Easy Difficulty

Roof Terraces are a simple way of using up the space a flat roof creates.Here's how to create a simple roof terrace for your Sims!:

STEP 1:Build your house as normal,and leave the roof till last.
STEP 2: Select "Auto Roves" and then the "Flat Roof" Option.
STEP 3: You will need to place a stair-case to access your roof,to do this add 1 tile of flooring at any edge of your roof.
STEP 4:Build your stair-case.
STEP 5:Along the edges of your roof add a railing for decoration and Sim Safety.

Done!You can use this space for anything you like such as hot tub or sunbathing space!

Lesson 6: Balconies:Easy Difficulty

Balconies can add a touch of luxury to any Sim home. They can either be attatched to the house, or in the "floating style".

ATTACHED BALCONY:

STEP 1: When you have finished buliding your home, make sure you leave a space for where you balcony can go.
STEP 2: Fence off the area you want to be your balcony and place down any floor tile you like and add a door to the balcony.
STEP 3: Decorate it in anyway you like!

FLOATING BALCONY:

STEP 1: Place an area of floor tiles outside your house against the wall and extend to create an area to be your blacony.
STEP 2: Fence off the area around your floor tiles and add a door to your balcony.
STEP 3: Add pillars to make it look more stable and to add some saftey.
